Learn a surprising technique
Painting a vase with flowers
Decorating a glass vase using painting techniques and (art) gold leaf. A surprising technique that will amaze you!
The workshop includes a round or conical vase, clay, and other materials, as well as coffee/tea and freshly baked apple pie or Monchou cheese. You’ll be actively engaged all morning under professional guidance.

Have fun fiddling with thread and beads
Tiny Crochet Hook Workshop
At Priegelhaken, we work with thin thread and small beads—hence the name “Priegel.” We use a thin needle and follow a pattern, which I’ll explain during the workshop. The patterns are unique, serving as variations on Turkish Oya crochet.
During the workshop, you’ll crochet bracelets. The workshop includes patterns and materials. Coffee/tea and a selection of freshly baked pastries.

Totally trendy! Decorate your own tableware using a polka-dot technique. In this workshop, you’ll decorate a plate with polka dots. Once you’ve tried it, you won’t want to do anything else.

Welcome to a creative painting workshop in an inspiring setting: among the tulips at De Tulperij. During this workshop, we’ll paint with acrylics and draw inspiration from the colors, shapes, and atmosphere of the tulip fields around us.
In a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, you’ll get started on your own painting. The workshop is suitable for both beginners and those with painting experience. Everyone is welcome.

Pick, arrange, and create your own seasonal bouquet
Flower Workshop at De Tulperij
Surrounded by blooming fields and the natural atmosphere of the outdoors, during this workshop you’ll pick your own flowers and learn what to look for when selecting beautiful, sturdy stems and combining colors and shapes.
Next, you’ll get started with simple, basic flower-arranging techniques. You’ll learn how to create a beautiful, well-balanced floral arrangement in an easy-to-follow way. You’ll also receive practical tips on how to care for flowers.
When the class is over, you’ll go home with a flower arrangement you made yourself—and the inspiration to get creative again at home.
If there are fewer than 5 participants, the workshop will be canceled. The instructor will notify you of this.

Embroidering flowers while the dahlias are in full bloom
Flower Rosie Embroidery Workshop
Using different embroidery stitches, you can create your own bouquet or embroider a bouquet I’ve made for inspiration.
In this workshop, you’ll embroider a colorful bouquet of flowers onto a black-and-white image of Rosie the Riveter. You can practice various embroidery stitches on the embroidery mandala I designed.
No prior experience with these techniques is necessary. Even if you’ve never embroidered before, this workshop is easy to follow. With just a few basic stitches, you can quickly achieve some great effects. If you have more experience, there are plenty of challenges to tackle, such as new techniques, composition, and color use.

Arranging Flowers
Bulb Lasagna Workshop
For this workshop, you’ll start by selecting bulbs in our shop when you arrive.You can choose from tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, and crocuses. Next, we’ll plant the bulbs in the basket in different layers. We’ll top it off with pansies, so you’ll go home with a blooming basket.
The workshop includes bulbs, materials, coffee or tea, and freshly baked apple pie or Monchou cake. You can book this workshop for a group of 10 or more people in the fall—subject to availability for dates and times—via email.

Dahlia Photography Workshop
If you’re an enthusiastic, advanced nature photographer who loves dahlias, then this workshop is perfect for you!
This workshop is led by Brigitte van Krimpen via the nature photography platform Deel de Natuur.
The workshop consists of a one-time online webinar via Microsoft Teams and a hands-on session on-site at De Tulperij.
